How to make life easy in the office

Clear the desktop
Keep the top of your desk clear so that only the items you use daily are on it. Store away everything else. At the end of the day do a quick clean- up of the desk and office so you have a fresh start for the next day.
Use 3 Filing Trays
A simple way to keep your work organized is to use 3 filing trays. Label them “To Do”, “To Pay” and “To File”. As paperwork and mail come in, immediately put them into the appropriate tray.
To Do Tray
Review your “To Do” tray each morning and start on the priority items. As things are done, put them into “To Pay” or “To File” trays.
To Pay Tray
Keep bills in the “To Pay” tray in order by due date to make bill paying quick and easy.
Review your “To Pay” tray once a week and pay the bills that are due. Put the paid bills into the “To File” tray.
To File Tray
Review your “To File” tray weekly. If you have an extra 5 minutes each day take a few things out and file them otherwise file it all at the end of the week. Keep up with your filing and make sure the tray is empty by the end of each week. You’ll enjoy Monday mornings so much more!
